The inspiration for these watercolor paintings and pen and ink renderings has come primarily from Arcata Scrap & Salvage and John’s Used Cars & Wreckers. I find myself wandering around taking photos of unusual things. Often a title for a painting will pop into my head long before I begin the piece. For example the painting “Pipe Dream” came to me when I ran across a huge pile of different sized pipes.
